During the Covid-19 period, the Taxicard scheme has been extended to carers, personal assistants and other persons known to the Taxicard holder.
They are able to use their Taxicard to collect medical prescriptions, shopping, etc. which is especially relevant whilst a cardholder is shielding.
London Councils have also agreed to this change and sent text messages to all holders.
